How to Calculate Gold Jewellery Price
Gold Jewellery Price = (Weight in grams × Gold rate per gram) + Making Charges + 3% GST on (gold value + making charges). Use the calculator above to get an instant estimate.
24K gold (999 purity) is 99.9% pure and is used for coins and bars. 22K gold (916 purity) is 91.6% pure and is the most common purity used for jewellery in India as it is harder and more durable.
Making charges typically range from 8% to 25% of the gold value depending on the jewellery type. Simple designs like plain bangles have lower making charges (8-12%), while intricate pieces like necklaces can be 15-25%.
Gold is taxed at 3% GST in India. This applies to both the gold value and the making charges. So the total GST = 3% × (gold value + making charges).
A tola is a traditional Indian unit of weight for gold. 1 tola = 11.6638 grams. You can select "Tola" in the unit dropdown above to calculate the price in tolas.
